Refund & Cancellation Policy

Scope

This policy applies to paid editorial sessions booked through Reason PathBase, including governance clinics, treasury reviews, voting briefings, glossary deep-dives, and in-person reading sessions. Free library content is not subject to refunds.

Deposit and confirmation

A 40% deposit confirms your session date. The remaining balance is due within seven days of deliverable delivery. Deposits are applied toward the total session fee.

Cancellation by you

• More than 7 days before the session: full refund of any amount paid, including deposit.
• 3–7 days before: deposit is non-refundable; any balance paid beyond the deposit is refunded.
• Less than 3 days before: no refund unless we can fill the slot with another client.

Rescheduling

You may reschedule once at no charge if requested at least 5 days before the original date. Additional reschedules or requests within 5 days may incur a ₩50,000 administrative fee to cover re-preparation time.

No-shows

If you do not attend a confirmed session and do not notify us at least 24 hours in advance, the full session fee is forfeited. We will share any prepared materials at our discretion.

Cancellation by Reason PathBase

If we cancel due to editor illness or unforeseen circumstances, you receive a full refund or priority rescheduling at your choice.

Work already started

If you cancel after we have completed pre-read analysis (typically 48+ hours of document review before the call), we retain the deposit and bill for pre-read hours at ₩95,000 per hour if those hours exceed the deposit amount.

Partial refunds after delivery

If you believe a deliverable pack materially fails to address the agreed scope, notify us within 7 days of receipt. We will offer a revision at no charge or a partial refund up to 30% of the session fee if the issue is not resolved to mutual satisfaction.

Non-refundable items

• Completed in-person sessions where attendees were present
• Custom research hours explicitly approved and delivered beyond the original session scope
• Korean translation add-ons once translation files have been sent

Refund method and timing

Refunds are issued to the original payment method — bank transfer (KRW) or USDC wallet address on file. Processing takes 5–10 business days after approval.
